The Shire Houghton Summerhouse is a 7x7 Summerhouse (7x5 with a 2ft verandah). It is half-glazed, with double doors, and is extremely good value-for-money. The verandah area provides additional protection from the elements.

Shire Houghton 7×7 Shiplap Summerhouse

The Shire Houghton 7×7 Summerhouse is one of the best value-for-money wooden summerhouses available in the UK. You can maximize your available space with this well proportioned building, allowing ample space inside with easy access through the double doors. A verandah is big enough for a seat, and adds addition protection from the weather. It has been manufactured using smooth planed white pine from sustainable forests, and is available in 1 size only; 7×7 (approx. 7’x5′ + 2ft verandah), which comes pre-treated with a mould resistant anti-fungicidal basecoat. To ensure a long life, a weatherproof preservative top coat treatment should be applied. Mineral roofing felt, double doors and glass windows are all included as standard.

Quality Construction

The Shire 7×7 Houghton Summerhouse is manufactured with 34 x 34mm framing. It comes with 12mm thick tongue & groove cladding on the walls and floor, and has a solid sheet OSB roof.

Preservative

All summerhouses in the Shire garden building range are supplied pre-treated with a quality, water-based, non-toxic anti-fungicidal base coat. This ensures that your garden building is ready to accept any preservative colour of your choice. A factory-applied preservative topcoat is also available, however this is not a decorative finish.

Doors and Locking System

A double door 1350mm wide is supplied with a black iron latch.

Straight-forward Assembly

These buildings are supplied in a flat-pack modular design with smaller panels allowing for easy transportation through your house or garage! Assembly is straight-forward for the competent DIY’er, and no professional experience is necessary. Normally 2 people can usually complete the job in 2-4 hours.

Professional Assembly Option

If you aren’t able to install this building yourself, we can arrange for a professional erecting team to build it for you. We require clear access and a suitably prepared, firm, level site to be ready when the installers arrive.

Optional Extras

This garden building is supplied as a full kit, complete with all necessary fixings, fastenings glazing and roofing materials. Optional extras include professional assembly, additional clear topcoat preservative, and a pressure-treated timber base c/w adjustable metal spikes.

Please contact us prior to purchase if you have any queries regarding the dimensions. Information shown above has been supplied by the manufacturer, and is as accurate as possible (errors and omissions excepted), however it is intended only as a guide. We recommend that you install the building on a solid, free-draining base, with at least 60cm free space all around for maintenance and to avoid splashback. You should treat all sections with a high quality, spirit-based preservative prior to assembly, and subsequently every year in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Please ensure that regular general maintenance is carried out on all moving parts, and that the roofing felt is regularly inspected, and replaced if required.

Shire™ products are delivered sectional/flat-packed to kerbside unless stated otherwise. Deliveries are available for most of mainland England, Wales and Scotland, however there are haulage surcharges to some areas, and there are no deliveries at all to the Yellow Zone, or to any island or offshore area… please see the map and table below for more information.
